Galas, Beards & Scrums – Our Community Update

Supporting our community has been Parker Johnston’s legacy since 1950. We are actively involved in the community by making donations to charitable and not-for profit organizations and supporting many community events.

We donated to local community associations and causes such as the Visions gala hosted by the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. We are also proud to support the YMCA-YWCA Greater Victoria, Victoria Dragon Boat Festival, Pacific Salmon Foundation, Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association, Westshore Rebels Football Association, Steve Drane Racing and the David Foster Foundation to name a few.

This year, the boys of PJ put our own spin on Movember with “Beard-vember”. Parker Johnston matched all the money raised by our scruffy roofers and donated it to support hot lunch programs at local schools. Check out our Facebook album for photos!

We also continually support the Velox Rugby Clubs in Langford and Gordon Head as well as Rugby Canada. Can you tell that rugby is a sport close to our heart?

If your organization is interested in applying to Parker Johnston for a donation or sponsorship
contribution, please fill out the Sponsorship Request Form. Unfortunately, we cannot always meet every request, but will carefully review each one and consider our available resources to meet the needs of the community. We keep all organizations on file to
review in the future.

Not sure if there is something you are able to help with, but I’ll fax a request in. We are Discovery Elementary School up in Shawnigan Lake, we are close to purchasing a new playground for the school as the School District is going to remove ours for not being safe. To date we have raised over $50 thousand from the local community and parents of the school. We are $2700 away from purchasing the equipment and we are hosting a beer and burger night at the Cobblestone Pub we are looking for any items that we may have for our auction. There will be a silent auction as well as a live auction. If any of your guys live up this way, please feel free to pop in. It is Saturday Feb 23rd from 7:00 on we have also booked a live band so we should have a great turn out. Thank you for reading. Ashley Ball. Fax is on the way.
